Changing who is ally to who

I am wondering how does one in a MP mission say make the CDF and the Russians be Ally of each other in a Mission.

I can only atm find the slider for who civilians and resistance are friendly to

CDF are WEST I beleive. So you couldn't use setFriend without making all WEST friendly.

Maybe setCaptive would work?

There's setFriend, OR you can open up the mission.sqm file and manually change each Russian from side="EAST" to side="WEST" however, when you save the mission it will revert it back to "EAST".

Umm... No. That's totally wrong. :)

east setfriend [west,1];
west setfriend [east,1];
east setfriend [resistance,0];
west setfriend [resistance,0];

^^ OPFOR and BLUFOR best of friends, and both will murder Independents on sight.

Yeh. That will work.

Although, you should use 1 instead of 0.99. Because that still leaves a really small chance that they won't be friends, for at least one game.

You could put it in the init line of anything. You could also put it in the On Act of a trigger so you could change friends mid-mission.

For first post, this won't work if there are any other WEST units, as CDF are WEST.
