Thomm 0 Posted March 24, 2002 In the "Rage" Mission of Red Hammer something very strange happened to me. In the first camp I spotted two T72s and decided to borrow one of them as a platform for my destructive job. So, I board the tank and start shooting at stuff. After some moments the tank crews appear, only to be gunned down. But not all of them. One broke through the fire and mounted MY tank, as the driver. Great, I thought, now this guy will drive with me in circles! But no - the newcomer OBEYED my orders and suddenly I had a fully operational tank at my hands! Turned out to be quite convenient, since - at the same time - I apparently did not get shot at. Did the AI soldier keep other AI soldiers from firing at me?! Or did I hit them first, I do not know. Anyway, it was a very interesting twist of the initial plan! Since this is my first post on this board, I want to sincerely thank the makers of OpF for their incredible technical achievement and for the immersive hours I have spent with the OpF Gold Edition. Regards, Thomm

Random 0 Posted March 25, 2002 I had this happen to me with a chopper in the 'Escape from Prison' mission in the original campaign. I boarded the chopper as gunner, and the pilot got in the front. He took off and I took pot shots at any enemies I could see. I wasn't able to control the pilot though. And yes, the enemy driver was what stopped the others from shooting at you. IceFire 0 Posted March 25, 2002 Cool, how do you do that? You just board a chopper that already has an enemy gunner in it? Or does the enemy gunner need to get in after you already in?
Random 0 Posted March 26, 2002 He needs to get in AFTER you. I boarded as the gunner - I don't think it works if you board as the pilot.
