Ofp doesn't work with ati mobility radeon ?

My laptop has an ATI Mobility Radeon (16Mb, D3D...) with WinXP, DirectX 8.1.

OFP crashes after the first splash screen.

WinXP and video drivers seem up to date.

Any idea ?

Crashes or exits? If the program simply exits, it could be the SafeDisc copy-protection code.

SafeDisc is very picky as far as other software is concerned, it has problems with some CB burning software, CD emulators, debuggers, programs that hook important system functions etc.

If you were able to install the program properly, it would seem that SafeDisc is not to blame, since it will check for an original CD during the installation. But if you made changes to your Windows system following the installation, you may have created a problem for yourself.

What version of Opf are you running?

I'm running a Dell Inspiron 8200 w/512mb RAM, XP Pro, ATI Mobility 64MB, DX 8.1 and OFP runs quite well.

This doesn't help troubleshoot your problem but the ATI does work with OFP.
