Should I turn on "Application controlled" AA and AF settings in GPU controls?

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody,

I would like somebody (from BIS preferrably) to answer this question for me, as I am totally confused by the discussion in ATI cards thread.

What is the proper way to control Anti Aliasing and Antisotrophing Filtering in ArmA II? Should I set them to "Application controlled" in GPU driver controls (Catalyst Control Center) and adjust the values (High-Very High ingame) or maybe I could move their sliders in CCC to appropriate corresponding values (High-8X), (Very High-16X) as well as setting those values along in video options?

Thanks for clearing this situation out.

Set to "Application Controlled" in CCC, and then use INGAME options (high, veryhigh) to set AA/AF.

They advice you not to use the gfx card settings in the gpu driver setup.

I would have liked seeing you list your hardware before you make

such a statement that assumes everyone has your exact hardware.
