natreen 10 Posted August 17, 2009 ... problem is, I don´t have a CD as I bought the game through the Petergames download portal. So, I really would like to play the game, but why doesn´t this work anymore? I played the game when it was released but de-installed it when I was waiting for a patch, the campaign was unplayable. CoolFire 10 Posted August 17, 2009 (edited) Hi Natreen, I've also bought and DL'ed ArmA2 from the petergames website and never had any problems with installing or running the game. After I paid for the game I was sent an email with the subject "Ihre Bestellung Petergames" containing my order and payment confirmation. This email also gives you the serial number/activation code for your ArmA2 (under "Installation"). After DL'ing the game, I ran the ArmA2 installer, put my serial number from the email in and ArmA2 was ready to go...Since, I've even un- and re-installed ArmA on my pc following the same procedure as mentioned above but still without having problems with being asked for a cd or anything... Good luck. Edited August 17, 2009 by CoolFire updated information
natreen 10 Posted August 17, 2009 This was working for me, after I installed the game for the very first time. But AFTER applying a beta patch and THEN uninstalling the whole game I´m not able to run the game anymore: I install the game, apply the serial number, I am NOT installing any patch, click run and then it says "insert the correct cd"... I´m sure it has something to do with some registry value that has corrupted something. But I´m don´t want to re-install the whole OS just to play the game again! Bulldogs 10 Posted August 17, 2009 For 32 bit OS Uninstall Arma 2 then run regedit and goto HKLM->Software->Bohemia Interactive Studio-> and delete the Arma 2 key entry (the whole key directory) For 64 bit OS Uninstall Arma 2 then run regedit and goto HKLM->Software->Wow6432node->Bohemia Interactive Studio-> and delete the Arma 2 key entry (the whole key directory) After that reboot your computer then reinstall. Hope that helps.
