AI + Game Logic = ?

So I was told that if you put a Game Logic in game, it will cause the AI to be smarter and use cover and flank you and what not, and with out the game logic the AI just runs around like headless chickens..

Do I need to do anything more than just Place the logic in the mission editor? Or do I need to actually link them up?

It was on a youtube video, the guy said the reason the AI were being retarded in the video is because he didnt place the game logic..

Which is a problem I am running into. The AI never take cover when shot at, and they never flank, they just charge straight at me... Is there anyway to make them remotely smarter? I always hear people talk about them doing such things.

On top of difficulty setting (and in fact often more important than difficulty setting) is the skill bar in the editor. Unless modified by scripts, it'll multiply the difficulty AI skill level and thus if it's not maxed the AI will be pretty terrible, especially on lower difficulties.

They aren't terrible at all on lower skill levels. In fact changing their skill really only (noticably) improves their marksmanship.

It seems to (and is supposed to) also modify their awareness, which is just as important if not more than their marksmanship.

AI detecting you from 175m or letting you sneak by at 125m is a pretty big difference in some missions ;)
