lt.white 10 Posted August 16, 2009 Hi Ive been seeing some cool mods and missions for arma 1 that i think would be great to play on arma 2. I wanted to know if there is a way to download arma 1 missions or mods and play them on arma 2. Ive downloaded missions that were made for arma 1 and put them on arma 2 and when i click to play it says something about deleted i forgot what it was. W0lle 1050 Posted August 16, 2009 Straight 'out of the box' ArmA1 Missions and campaigns can't be used in ArmA2 for two reasons: 1) The terrains used in ArmA1 (Sahrani and Rahmadi) are not present in ArmA2 2) The unit classnames has been changed in ArmA2 and are so the units which were used in ArmA1 are not present as well. By now the ArmA1 terrains are working in ArmA2 but the classnames not (afaik), so in order to make the missions work they need some work. As for addons, if you look around you will see that some are already ported and with the tools available now I guess a lot will come in the next days and weeks. That said, it is possible to play with ArmA1 content in ArmA2 but it needs some work and effort to make that happen. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
