swefire86 10 Posted August 12, 2009 Got the game today and tried installing it but my AD-7200S won't read the DVD, it tries to but it fails for some reason. I tried updating the firmware but that didn't help. Any suggestions?
InFireBaptize 0 Posted August 12, 2009 try it on a friend PC to rule out defects, replace your DVD drive, they're pretty cheap! or get a DVD replacement from the store if in fact bad!
swefire86 10 Posted August 12, 2009 (edited) Tried now on my brothers PC and it worked perfectly there. Should not be any problem with my DVD drive because it can run other DVD's. EDIT: I got Daemon Tools installed on the computer, could that be the problem? Edited August 12, 2009 by swefire86
InFireBaptize 0 Posted August 12, 2009 Check your device manager for hardware problems and have windows try to fix it, you'll need the DVD to play the game. Go to your DVD controller and make sure DMA mode is selected. Give that a try. Also scan for hardware changes in device manager while at it.
Master gamawa 0 Posted August 12, 2009 Tried now on my brothers PC and it worked perfectly there. Should not be any problem with my DVD drive because it can run other DVD's. Your logic is flawed! You come undone! The dvd works. That is proved by the fact that it worked on your brother's machine. Now, your dvd has no problems with other games. That's weird but it doesn't change the fact the dvd works. It just dislikes your dvd player. Or maybe the dvd player doesn't like the dvd. Maybe they had a fight. Since the dvd works you have to buy a new dvd drive. Your dvd player is at fault here.

ck-claw 1 Posted August 12, 2009 disable it and see yourself. +1 Also when your brother pops out-quickly swap DVD drives! ;)
swefire86 10 Posted August 12, 2009 Thanks for helping, I think i got it to work now(at least it's installing right now) but I'm not sure exactly what fixed it. Also a special thanks to Master gamawa for making me aware of my insufficient sense for logic.
