Intruder 0 Posted March 20, 2002 EDIT: Thought I'd better post this warnning I just saw this tool over at OFP.CZ called OFP Cool Editor V2.2 by Sileny Murdock. This thing does everything, breifings, sounds (stingtable.csv), description.ext, wav->ogg, campaign wizard, character editing, wav->lip, loads of stuff. If your new to mission editing, this may be a good tool Grab it here When installing, don't let it replace existing system files on your computer!!! Just say No
Lorenzo 0 Posted March 21, 2002 thank's, it's look good for script i prefer EDITPLUS , it color the script code for make easier editing but it's just a text editor, you need to know script language ....
PopUpTarget 0 Posted March 21, 2002 I started using it myself last night. Really helps finishing off the details of a mission. A few bugs though, like the weapons tab. If you click on West, you get a list of East weapons and vice versa. Also, cannot figure out how to set the triggers so that the debrief will show completion of (in this case 2) mission objectives. I noticed also that it doesn't do paragraphing. You have to go to the actual HTML file and fix that. Which is no biggie.

I kept getting messages saying do you want to replace this system file with another version? I just said no, even to the newer versions, and it works alright. PopUpTarget 0 Posted March 22, 2002 It kept asking me the same thing about replacing system files. Most of the files it wanted to replace were older than mine, so I just kept clicking "No". So far, no problems encountered with the actual program...just the bugs I mentioned above.

Intruder 0 Posted March 23, 2002 That's cos I just added it half an hour ago. So people will see it. Sorry about that. I haven't had any problems with it because when installing, it said 'do you want to replace this system file?' and it said that the ones I had were newer, so I just said 'no to all' (luckily) Why would I want to replace them with older ones? DestroyerX 0 Posted March 23, 2002 Hell ya, had to install a part of windows and a newer version of Internet Explorer. And now I have the one part in English and one part in Dutch. Think i'm gonna try a second reinstall later this day. I backuped all my user-files.
Intruder 0 Posted March 23, 2002 Damn, lucky i didn't let the thing update my systems folder. I never let an unofficial program do stuff like that. I had to retore my entire computer a few months ago in a failed attempt to install Windows XP Lost all my personal files. Can't trust anyone these days. My dad called our cpu-service and then was 3.5 hours busy to fix it. I will ask him if he still knows how to do it and then I will send you an email. (Is that possible? Can you check your email on an other computer?)
Placebo 29 Posted March 24, 2002 This whole thing is really really really bad, they should have done a thorough test of the program, had a few people beta test it, tried all different scenarios, ie different people with different OS' some saying yes to overwriting the files, some saying no etc. An addon that can cause major problems resulting in a person having to reformat or reinstall their OS is incredibly bad for the community as a whole. DestroyerX 0 Posted March 24, 2002 ALRIGHT!!!!! OFP Works again! And I know what my problem caused.... By writing over the add-ons files the game locked up. I deleted the 'not-really-important' ones and it works. And maybe it was the Blackhawk with snow comouflage and some other one I D/L a few days ago. Anywayzzzzzz, it works again. Thankgod I could replace my User-folder with all my missions.
Rifleman 0 Posted March 24, 2002 first thing i backed up before i reformated the HD was my user folder and the addon folder and all of the scripts and stuff i also had for OFP
Intruder 0 Posted March 25, 2002 Glad to hear your back up and running destroyer I always back up my users folders, since I lost all my missions a while ago.I remade all of them though.
