t1337Dude 10 Posted August 4, 2009 I don't have $50 to spare for a game that I'm not entirely sure that I'll enjoy. If I can get my hands on the game DVD, and buy the CD Key seperately online, would I be able to play the game FADE free?
PaiNxGS 10 Posted August 4, 2009 (edited) Well, I think if you are unsure about the game, then give the demo a try and see how you like it. Any file that is not based on the original exe will trigger "FADE", at least from what I read. "YES" is the answer to the question about the cd/dvd thing, as I have already tried to use my legit back-up of my download to play the game and use the key supplied to me. In the end I had to re-download the whole setup again, so I could play it. I did end up ordering it from GoGamer.com for cheap, so I will have a hard copy coming in the mail here so. With this game(series) you either hate it or love it..... I have played the series since the original Operation Flashpoint, so I am hooked for life on these games. :) Edited August 4, 2009 by PaiNxGS
t1337Dude 10 Posted August 4, 2009 I'm not going to be using any foreign files. So it would work? I've been playing OFP since I've been 6, but that doesn't automatically make this game worth full price. The demo didn't provide sufficient gameplay for me to judge if it's worth the money or not. The demo doesn't tell me if the game's campaign is broken, or if the editor is bugged. Things like that. EDIT: Ok. I'll wait until the game drops in price then. Thanks! Windexglow 10 Posted August 4, 2009 Unfortunately it does - a pain to dig up the cd just to play the game.

PaiNxGS 10 Posted August 4, 2009 GoGamer.com has it for $37.90,and that was the cheapest I could find it. Maybe someone found it cheaper somewhere else. http://www.gogamer.com/ArmA-2--I--for-PC-All-PC-Games_stcVVproductId73295699VVcatId444774VVviewprod.htm

If I can get my hands on the game DVD, and buy the CD Key seperately online, would I be able to play the game FADE free? That would not be legal.
