too many reinstalls???

Recommended Posts

i have recently installed and about 6 times re-installed ofp + resistance on the same computer (reasons for the reinstallations: some problems when patching the game like trying to install compatibility patches for 1985 and red hammer campaign and screwing up the files). now i installed ofp+all patches, res+1.91 patch and when i tried to install the BIS Camel addon, the installer said something like that my game installation is incorrect and that "ORIGINAL GAMES DO NOT FADE". i wonder if fade protection has been activated and why ... is it because of too many reinstalls on the same computer? what can i do about it? (and of course: yes, I DO HAVE original game)

When un-installing OFP, make sure you delete the "Operation Flashpoint" directory left behind in ...\Program Files\Codemasters\

It is possible that installing OFP over an existing patched install create some problems.

Depending on your OS you may need to use admin account to uninstall/install and play OFP correctly.

compatibility patches for 1985 and red hammer campaign

Do not install these files, in version 1.96 CWC and Red Hammer are working and don't need compatibilities files.

Once you have correctly installed OFP and then Resistance just install the official patches up to patch 1.96 :
