Aircraft in Warfare

So this may seem like an epicly dumb question, but I can't figure out the aircraft in warfare.

AI is commander, he builds aircraft plant @ HQ (which is in middle of field). Helo's are fine because they can take off vertically, but the planes spawn there too which doesn't work out well. I've capped towns with airstrips, but I can't build an airplane there or build aircraft plant there.

I took over commander and drove the HQ LAV down there, but couldn't deploy it (for whatever reason).

So the question is: how the heck do I get aircraft working correctly and how to I get them to spawn at an airfield?

Hi,

I play crCTI and I am not sure exactly what you are playing. But if it is crCTI you can deploy your first base wherever you want. Work a bit to take some towns for instance one with an airfield.

Then simply drive the MHQ over to where you would like to deploy your new base and then select MHQ build menu, build a worker or two and then select air factory.

That does it.

I think you can buy aircrafts(planes)at the airfield hangar in warfare, there is a airfield obj that have a hangar where you can buy the planes ones it is captured,

i do know this was the case in Arma1 but not sure if its the same in Arma2 warfare

I'm not playing crCTI, just straight warfare. And I guess thats the problem: I take over command from the AI, drive the MHQ down to the airstrip, but there is no command to deploy or to construct anything, so I'm sorta stuck.
