Keep losing chopper in Razor 2

Hi,

I seem yto keep losing my helicopter in Razor 2 so I can't complete the mission. On several occasionsit has been destroyed whilst picking my team up, anmd on other occasions it say's it's on it's way but it never shows up.

Hasanyway else had these problems. Not sure if the second could be a bug?

I havent "lost" the chopper, but on occasion the chopper will lose us. I think if you ask for a pick up in an area of high foliage or power lines etc, the pilot wont land or may circle for awhile until he gets a better angle. Another time he flew right into the tops of a forrest and killed everyone, so the AI pathfinding when flying is deffinately not perfect. Dont forget you have to allow for ETA and take off, which depending on where you are on the map could take awhile.

EDITOh wait, your right. It just happend to me too. The chopper is stuck hovering over the train tracks and not budging.

Yeah i did the same, and on short/medium distances it is actually faster since you dont have to wait for that crappy pilot to show up.

He crashed into some poles but survived in my game, when he got out i decided to just execute him and his copilot for being stupid. But when i did that the mission failed with a big screen saying 'Murder' and telling me that i had killed my friendlies on purpose. I still think the screen should have said 'Justice!' though. :p

I learnt the hard way to make sure you chose a nice big flat field for extraction as the pilot will go out of his way to hit tress, powerlines etc,. I grabbed the .50Cal Hummvee at the start and just drove everywhere.

If the helicopter is stuck flying in the same spot and does not want to land, it sometimes helps to send it far away using the map. If it starts flying to the new spot, it worked and the helicopter is unstuck. Then you can proceed with calling it back to your position immediately.
