CrazyAviator 10 Posted July 26, 2009 I recently bought this game (friday) and played a little that night, but mostly with Boot Camp and archive modes. Today is the first day Ive had the chance to load campaign mode up and so far I've had alot of problems. I cannot even get 10 minutes into mission 1 without a video freeze to blue screen. Looks like video corruption (many funny looking colored tiles appear, then crash). So far Ive had it happen twice within a minute of eachother inside the game, its about the time when the first encounter occurs and #1 orders you (Cooper) to engage a rifle man. Right now my settings are all set to High or Very High, including video memory. Im going to try reducing some settings to see if it fixes. Mind you I also just updated the game to 1.02, I didnt have any problems before this but I also never tired the campaign either. no use for a name 0 Posted July 26, 2009 have you restarted the mission since patching? The patch fixes a lot of the issues people had with the campaign, so if you load a game that's saved in the middle of a mission chances are it won't work. Try starting the mission from the very beginning, or if you're not too far along just restart the whole campaign to be sure
CrazyAviator 10 Posted July 27, 2009 Sorry for the confusion. I updated the game before I started the campaign. So Im pretty sure thats not it. UPDATE: Ok, I adjusted my settings down to High everything and Default Video Memory. I've noticed a big increase in performance and the crashes, while not eliminated, have gone down quite a bit. Still Im experiencing fatal crashes to blue screen, so somethings not right...
Rogue_Trooper 10 Posted July 27, 2009 Try using Game booster = http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html and if that dont work do a fresh re-install i know its a pain but sometimes a full fresh re-install does work. Also Nvida released brand new drivers today so i would deffinatly go get that = http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us Hope this helps.
CrazyAviator 10 Posted July 27, 2009 New drivers ^_^ Downloading now. I wanted to mention that I tried playing multiplayer today for the first time and its doing the same thing (crash to blue screen). I also disabled the physX GPU accelerator as recommended by the sticky nVidia users. No change
