Covenent 10 Posted July 25, 2009 Hi Just bought my copy of ArmA 2, and tried to patch it to 1.02. But it won't work, whenever I try to patch it I get the same error "Update 1.01-1.02\ADDONS\AIR2.PBO.UPD cannot be applied, error xdelta3 returned error code: 1 Some error occurred during patch installation. Patch file is probably dammaged. You may need to download it again. Error in file ADDONS\air2.pbo, phase 1." Have downloaded it a couple of times now and get the same error. Any ideas of what may be wrong?
Redfield-77 10 Posted July 25, 2009 Did you buy the DVD or D2D or Steam Version?
Redfield-77 10 Posted July 25, 2009 What build is the (out of the box) version? Is it 1.0 or 1.01 or 1.02:58064 or 1.02:58134?
Covenent 10 Posted July 26, 2009 I'm not sure, how do I check it?
Covenent 10 Posted July 26, 2009 1.0157 something. Do I have to use another patch than the one on the site then? 1.01 to 1.02 or does the one on the arma site work for both?
Bulldogs 10 Posted July 26, 2009 What O/S are you using? Just checking because I had the same problem with Arma 1 when trying to patch it after installing it under Windows 7, but under Vista and XP it doesn't happen so not sure what Windows 7 is doing to cause the problem. Covenent 10 Posted July 26, 2009 Using, vista ultimate 64bit. Thinking about formating and testing in xp, but would rather make it work in vista.
Bulldogs 10 Posted July 27, 2009 Best bet is to uninstall, update your dvd firmwear or try install off another dvd drive (the dvd drive may not be the issue, but there's a good chance the installation is being corrupted so borrow a friends dvd drive and try that) ---------- Post added at 10:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:57 AM ---------- One other things to try is to goto your motherboard manufacturers website and download and update all your motherboard drivers (could be a sata/IDE/BUS driver issue)
CrazyAviator 10 Posted July 27, 2009 I say reinstall the game before reinstalling your computer - lol I have Vista Premium x64 bit and patch worked fine. Game doesnt work, but the patch worked
Covenent 10 Posted July 27, 2009 Well, it's a new computer so had no problem with trying xp, also a lot more used to xp than vista. Haven't tried ArmA2 with xp yet but will check all my drivers to see if there maybe an issue with them. But it's probably the dvd-rom, it's a bit dated and I'm going to try to instal the game with somebody elses dvd-rom and hopefully it will work. Thanks for all the help btw :)
