datter 0 Posted July 19, 2009 I wrote what turned into a long-ass article over here about my recent dealings with ArmA2 crashing, and how I sorted myself out. Specifically related to the n4v_disp error I was seeing, and that I suspect is causing a lot of nVidia users grief. Please forgive the shameless self-linkage, but hopefully it will prove helpful. kklownboy 43 Posted July 19, 2009 nice page. "Underclock your video card." Yes the lame voltages they use to get high benchmarks for PR are the end of some games do to the game being much harder on the card than ANY 3D benchmark. The extra heat from the OC on components that are not measured by any TEMP prog are a main reason for H/W CTDs. Also a bigger badder PSU and a adjustment to the pciex speed may help keep some OC. "You funky ATI owners are on your own with this" lol, i am a funky ATi user, and i DONT CTD and i use AA, and i get great game frames. All the ctds i see online are 99% nvda. lol... glad your up and running not up and rebooting. :)
datter 0 Posted July 20, 2009 It's rather nice to finally get consistent enough gameplay that I can fly for a change. I just spent the past two hours flying things in the armory for no real reason. Great stuff.
wooly-back-jack 10 Posted July 20, 2009 I can still play the armoury no probs (only CTD once in that) it's online where the problems happen for me
