Joystick Support?

Recommended Posts

Im wondering if its possible to use a joystick for flying and such? i found my very old saitek x6-31 lying around which i havent used for about 8-9 years lol, its still working and in awesome condition and im trying to get it to work. Drivers are installed :), its connected to my external c-media sound card which has a game/midi port for it.

Has anyone tried?

Sure it will, if you have drivers for it. Even if that the com port doesn't work, you can get a com->usb adapter and it will.

My 10+ years old microsoft sidewinder pro, is still working in every game that way :)

nevermind today i went to local ebgames and picked up a powerwave joystick at $40 NZD which was $10 off. So far its pretty good, it also has a realistic motor vibration in it but i dont feel it very much in arma 2. Still makes easier for me to fly helicopters and aircraft.

Not only does ARMA2 support joystick, but it has force feedback as well.

You may have trouble running a classic joy port on a modern PC. Best to grab a cheap new USB one.

i know its a year ago ^^

....but you are running a SIDERWINDER FORCE FEEDBACK PRO (series 1/Gameport) in that game ?

does it work with Win7 32+64Bit ?

and you are simply running it via a regular gameport->usb adapter ?
