Can I not give civilians weapons?

I am creating a mission that uses one of the female civilians as the player character. The problem I am having is that every time I give the civilian a weapon in the "initialization" box she spawns with half her body in the ground and is non moveable.

Can you not give civilians weapons?

OK, so I tried adding an ammo box and picking up a gun but civilians don't even have the option :(

Is there a mod that fixes this?

I believe that limitation only applies to female civilians. They do not have weapon slots as far as I recall. Could be that they dont even have the required animations.

Sorry for the late reply, but if you are able, just make an addon that could give weapon slots to civilians (and then why not bunnies, or cows...)

The animations are still missing for them, simply adding weapon slots wouldn't do much good I'm afraid.

Yes, quite. As a sidenote: Women are allowed to drive cars in ArmA2, but they cannot drive a motorcycle. They're only allowed to ride as passengers with male drivers, because of missing biker animations for female models. Talk about stereotypes, eh? I haven't tested if women are allowed to vote in Chernarus yet. I suspect not ;)

You can add "vehicle" weapons to anything really.

Aww, I had this planning aswell. A squad of women gone crazy. it doesn't matter though. Ill use the priest aswell ;)
