"Follow Me" and "Fire for Effect" commands. Can You?

Recommended Posts

As I only have the demo (full version on order and should be here sometime this week :bounce3: ) so I don;t have the manual. These commands weren't available in ArmA1 I'm wondering if they've been implemented in some way in ArmA2 or if there's a way to do it.

"Follow Me" I want to use to have the AI FOLLOW. I've always had to use the "Back into Formation" command but I'm never too sure if they actually followed me after that.

"Fire for Effect" would be nice if I was being supported by armor , spotted an enemy run behind cover and wanted the armor to pepper the area with heavy fire. AFAIK armor will only fire on command on a designated target , not an area.At least I could never get them to. Is there a way to command them to?

Great idea, the only real problem I find is that AI has balls of steal so they dont realy care bout .50 cal round flying round their head most of the time.

I mean its probably implemented but the AI probably wants to be macho most of the time.

"Return to Formation" or "Regroup" (in the Space-menu) are your "Follow Me" commands and they work fine.

"Suppress" (available in the Space-menu when you hold Alt) is supposed to be your "Fire fo Effect" command but I think it's broken atm as it doesn't really do anything.
