Gen_Faculty 0 Posted March 13, 2002 When i put on a custom face (putting the file in the user/your name ) and then selection it in OFP (It shows up the face fine) Then when i try to connect to a game it just says trying to connect then after about 5 mins of a black screen saying that it says session lost Please help me Mr. Bis people Thanx Faculty Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Gen_Faculty 0 Posted March 13, 2002 im running the lates version 1.46 i belive it is and yeh it does connect when i put another face from the orignal list but when i put my own it it dont work. Ive also found out that if i take the custom face out of the users/my name folder and just have the white plain model it worksl. So i thought it might be that face i was trying to us but i got a face that my friend was using that worked for him and that didnt work for me so i havent a clue whats up there.. ALDEGA 0 Posted March 13, 2002 The only thing that I can imagine is that your face is in an unsupported format. Are you sure it's a regular non-progressive jpg? Gen_Faculty 0 Posted March 13, 2002 i dont think it's tha face coz my friend uses it and he sent it to me and i tryed it and nothing, and also i sent it to another friend that didnt know about custom faces he tryed it and it worked Oh my connection is 56k i dont know if that effects it? but it should'nt the faces worked for me before but they suddenly went shit up, ive tryed re-installing thegame too and nothing.. Perhaps the problem is the fact the game gets delayed while your custom face gets sent to everyone, I personally prefer people not to use them when I host, sure it's fun and all to have a custom face but it slows the people on my server who have dialup Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Placebo 29 Posted March 14, 2002 Naaah I "run" a server, not "have" a server, slight difference I have cable and as Britain is still 3rd world when it comes to broadband I often host a game for my friends to play on, if I'm not downloading stuff when I'm sleeping or at college I'll throw it up as a dedicated server but it's not a 100% regular thing Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
