A quick noob question

Hey guys,

I'm playing some ARMA 2 online but everytime I try to get into a vehicle and drive/fly it I get booted from it.

Why is this and how can I fly the planes/choppers myself because nobody seems to like airlifts :mad:

are you playing on a ranked server where you need to have a rank to drive/fly. your have to work up to getting the rank to use them.

Or find a server that isn't using rank. :)

yeah I think that's it, how do I rank up and how can I see my rank and what ranked is needed to fly/drive?

I think it tells you something on screen if your rank isnt high enough when you try to get in, maybe where chat is i cant quite remember.

To rank up you just need to aquire kills/points or complete objectives, it depends on how the mission is set up. Some servers have it to where you have to be in the server for a certain amount of time (10min to 25min sometimes) before you are allowed to fly or operate anything bigger than a humvee.

It can be confusing, i couldnt use the flag pole in domination to teleport until i had ten points or summin, now i can join servers and use it all the time.
