ammo crate bug

ok,i tried loading up ammo crates at main baseonto a blackhawk,and it loaded fine,but i got out to the troops in the field who desperatly needed some ammo,and i couldnt drop the damn crate off.is this a bug,or was i doing something wrong,i was hitting the drop button like mad,while trying to stay airborne.of course it ended up being not important as a damn SU 25 came in low and fast and blew me to bits,and those bits rained down on the 5 poor guys standing under me waiting for the ammo drop.lol.but,if i was able to drop the crates,i would have been long gone before the SU came in.i looked cool while dying though.lol.massive fireball on the ground with dead bodies all up under my burning wreck of a chopper.love this game.

there is no option for the player to drop ammo crates via helicopter in ArmA.

So this cant be a bug. If you are using a mod there might be something wrong with the custom scripting.

ok,now im confused,when i hit the button that says status,there is a button that says drop crate,or drop boxes or something like that.it appears on the blue box,just like when airlifting a vehicle.im not using any mod as far as i can tell.unless it downloaded from steam or something without me knowing,i could swear it was a game feature,maybe someone can confirm this.im very confused.:confused:

You might have to land the helicopter first before attempting to unload the ammo crate. I know you can load/unload ammo crates with the LAV MHQ and assume it would work with the BTR-90 MHQ as well. Personally I've loaded up ammo crates in the helicopter but never tried to drop them off.

(Beagle under one of the last updates to Domination for Arma there was an option load/unload ammo creates and has unfortunately made its way into the domination map for Arma 2.)

Is this inside the Domination mission? This feature is only in Domination. It's not a feature available in other missions.
