How do you end a mission?

Recommended Posts

So if I wanted to make a few enemy guys and make it so the mission ends with a success when all the enemies are dead, how would you do this?

I dont even know the proper terminology for what I am looking for, so I dont think digging thru a few thousands pages will do me just good anyways.

Anyone got an idea on how to achieve this?

See, Gunn. This is why I gave up trying to help you in another thread. You put absolutely NO effort into learning.

Ghost linked you a lot of great help options. I linked you a thread where the second sentence was "...how do i make sure it only trigger when

there's no more enemies within the trigger area?"

Did you not even read that far? Did you even click either of our links? If you're not willing to even try, you're not going to get much done.

Set up a Trigger which should cover the area you're fighting in (try Axis A = 5000 and Axis B = 5000). Set it to Activation of OPFOR, ONCE, Not Present. Set it's Type to End1.

Done.

Though, to make it a Success, you'll need a Briefing file as well. Good luck.

No, he is talking about you I'm afraid. Many, many of the questions you've posted and we've answered can be found by either searching/googling/or playing in the editor for a bit. How did you miss the Ammo boxes? They have an entire category to themselves.

Hmmm well I suppose it would have been quicker to just type..

"Set up a Trigger which should cover the area you're fighting in (try Axis A = 5000 and Axis B = 5000). Set it to Activation of OPFOR, ONCE, Not Present. Set it's Type to End1."

rather than rant and rave about someone posting a question that has been asked, and will probably be asked a million more times in the next few years. its not that big a deal.

No, not if it was just this time, but its not. Its nearly every question. But, do what you like, eventually no one will reply to simple stuff you ask. I'm off to edit...

It seems like a "simple question" that someone can answer, but, it comes down to ettiquette and effort. You are asking people to put effort into giving you the answers to every question apparently (I have not read any previous posts, but only replying to what I see here), while you yourself refuse to put any effort into finding the answer yourself.

There is a search button at the top of the forum, and it works just like google or any other search engine. Most questions have been asked, and answered. The people in this community are very helpful, but give them the courtesy of at least TRYING to find out yourself. Otherwise, you are closing the door on future help and making a pest of yourself.

I'm just giving you friendly advice. Put the same effort into finding the answers yourself as you expect others to put into holding your hand.

Of all the End a Mission posts you could have mini-necro'd this is the one you choose? Srsly?

This was just a misstep by Gunn, he's come a long way from this post. :)

this is good. Like I said in my post, I was just giving advice. I wasn't trying to insult anyone or anything. Some people really just don't know how to use the search function or that it really is important to the community to use it. Happy editing, Gunn!
