konyo 14 Posted July 5, 2009 Hi all. Im trying to install a ArmA mod into ArmA 2, Ive put all the files into my Arma 2/addon's folder. But when i start the game it says "You need version 1.8 for Chinook CH-47D" How can i solve this to work? Any help would be much appreciated :) Thanks Konyo
Simon C 0 Posted July 5, 2009 Un-PBO the addon using Cpbo or Eliteness, and open the config.cpp file. Change the required version to 1.0, then Re-PBO it. :)
konyo 14 Posted July 5, 2009 Okay thanks, but wouldnt i have to change the version to 1.2? & what program would you use to re do the PBO files?
Simon C 0 Posted July 5, 2009 Cpbo and eliteness can also re-pbo them. It doesn't really matter what version you put to be honest, just as long as it's equal to or before 1.02, which is the current version.

Thanks konyo I think the only way you will get it to show up in the editor is to place it as empty.
konyo 14 Posted July 5, 2009 Empty, with no crew in it? I wont be able to fly it then? :(
Guest RKSL-Rock Posted July 5, 2009 It will need a a new config writing. Will most commands still work arma2 uses a lot of new ones with new class names and references. Best bet is to contyact the author and ask for help porting it.
Devilsephi 0 Posted July 5, 2009 If u place it as empty you can still fly with it , just place yourself and a crewman next to it and in your team , you mount and order your crewman to mount it and voila ;) do same for any vehicles or plane ( always empty ) . konyo 14 Posted July 5, 2009 (edited) Ok thanks, Ill try contacting the person who made it, and ill also try that to fly it :) Also tryed placing it down as empty, and it still crashes, but ive been looking through the config and found the errors it releating to.. The scope error is under the helicopter "/*extern*/ class UH60;" And the soilder GPilot is there too.. "crew = "SoldierGPilot";" Shall i change these?
