Indeed, you could indeed try to kill your whole team but if you goof, they'll be after you. Try just killing one teammate and fall back yourself. When my 7 year old plays army, he says things like "BMP at 2 o'clock - fire", shoots his plastic gun and finishes off with "BMP is history". My older girls have no interest, although they are impressed by OFP's graphics and extensiveness. Do they know? Of course they do!
