harveysimpson 15 Posted June 27, 2009 (edited) Initially I have been very impressed with the AI in ARMA 2. I find it to be particularly good when you are in typical combat situations - like firing at the enemy from a distance. However, if you set up an 'urban' battle - ie fairly close quaters combat in the streets of a city - I find the AI lacking.... In fact, it seems like they can't 'detect' my presence if I sneak up on them. I accept sneaking right up to an enemy is not really a team tactic so I dont mind, its just I was able to stand right next to an enemy soldier - firing at the ground by his feet - and he ignored me - well, he ran after a while! Has anybody else noticed this? Would pumping up the AI difficulty (mine is set at 0.70) help? Also the enemy tend to bunch up in the streets a little...shame. Despite the little flaws, I have overall been especially impressed and defy anybody to claim that the AI has not been significantly improved since Arma 1 Thanks Bohemia! kremator 1065 Posted June 27, 2009 I'm sure it will either get fixed in a patch or a community mod. Just be careful what you wish for !
