MattM 0 Posted March 10, 2002 Hi, When I start the Sniper Team mission, my fellow 2 snipers won't follow me! I can't find anyway of instructing them to either. Please help! Matt
timmy 0 Posted March 10, 2002 You can tell them to return t formation with the command keys, i think its 1,1.
Aculaud 0 Posted March 10, 2002 thats "F1 - 1 - 1". that should do it
IceFire 0 Posted March 10, 2002 No, that's hitting the "select all" button, usually the "~" button, and then hitting 1,1. Hitting F1 is selecting yourself.

ralphwiggum 6 Posted March 10, 2002 is this that Sp mission? in my case, I just made those guys wait, went by myself, shot the spetz natz came back.
Guest Posted March 10, 2002 Yea, that mission is far easire when you play it on your own; less chance of being caught!
theavonlady 2 Posted March 10, 2002 Not if you send your two AIs out of formation to kill a few enemies from a different position and draw away hostile fire from yourself.

Dr Jekyll 0 Posted March 10, 2002 I just stole a Hind and blasted everything on the island, then parachuted over the evac point.
MattM 0 Posted March 10, 2002 Thanks for all the replies guys. >>This was a bug in this SP mission way back. What OFP version are you running? Yes, I probably do need the patches, I'm too busy playing the game to download anything! >>I just made those guys wait, went by myself, shot the spetz natz came back. That's what I've done. I've taken most of the soldiers around the perimeter fence, and crawled all the way around inside the base but can't find the 3 spetz natz! Â Anyone help me out? >>>I just stole a Hind and blasted everything on the island, then parachuted over the evac point How do I do that then? TIA Matt

Spetx Natz should be at the entrance of the base
MattM 0 Posted March 10, 2002 thanks Ralph. When I said soldiers around the perimeter fence I only meant the ones patrolling the entrances. Are the "Spetx Natz" given a special enemy tag? Like I said I've crawled all the way round the inside base and can only find machine gunners and soldiers. Just wondered if they were hidden inside a building or were standing around in a specific place inside the base.
theavonlady 2 Posted March 10, 2002 Hint: officers usually don't wear helmets in OFP.
second_draw 0 Posted March 11, 2002 If my memory is correct, they fixed this in the 1.10v interim patch
second_draw 0 Posted March 11, 2002 also, It was also fixed in 1.2v patch. So you can go straight to version 1.2 in your upgrade path

USSoldier11B 0 Posted March 27, 2002 The Spetnaz wear OD green cravats on their heads. Also they will get out of a UAZ and walk towards a tent. If you miss any of them, they will run, but they will always go back to the tent (they are stupid.) I snipe from as far away as possible, and can usually kill eveyone on the base excluding armor. Remember an acronym we use in the U.S. Army OKOCA (Observation & Fields of Fire, Key Terrain, Obstacles, Cover and Concealment, Avenues of Approach). Set up a spot in the woodline that is on high ground (key terrain) and has a good field of view over the camp (observation & fields of fire), A fence prevents the enemy infantry from coming at you from 12 o'clock (obstacles), Trees give cover, bushes concealment, Armor cannot enter the forest, and it usually slows down infantry as well (avenues of approach). OFP is the most tactically accurate game i've ever played, using real military doctrine will keep you alive and help you accomplish missions.
The Red Dwarf 0 Posted March 28, 2002 This is one of the best missions in the game. As somebody said earlier grab a Hind from a base a few miles NW up the coast. It's in a base the two pilots are standing beside it theres 2 or 3 guys walking around the perimeter and 3 tank crew standing by a shilka, not a big problem at all. then you can just nick the hind and kick some serious butt!! But as usual watch out for those shilkas!
WKK Gimbal 0 Posted April 3, 2002 Another option most people don't mention: Hop into the Jepp with MG, with your two black ops, then drive like mad down to the beach road north of the base. It's pretty easy to get there without being shot. Now drive north until the UAZ comes towards you. Tell your MG'er to attack the UAZ and he will rip it to shreads along with the two SpetsNaz inside. Then drive to the base and either snipe the last SpetsNaz or (a little bolder) use the Jeeps MG to shoot down a wallsection, so you can sprint in and steal the T72 - then shoot him with that
