Some things missing that I want to see PLEASE!

Recommended Posts

Ok well there are three things that irritate me and would make this game so much better:

1. I miss the AH47 Chinook from the original flashpoint series, I would love to see it re-appear as a troop transport this is a must for missions.

2. Dual Screen gaming, I have two monitors, I can use this setup in other games either to have the outside view on my 2nd or to have the map on my 2nd while I'm looking at the first person view on my main monitor.

3. I know this is already mentioned but, there are three headtracking solutions out there. TrackIR, VRInsight, and Freetrack. I am in the freetrack camp and would like to see this support added. Put it another way it increases game sales if it is included no?

Euro forces(Sweden) :-)

Something like iTunes with quality control for modders and DLC, modders can make a buck on high quality models and scenarios. Easier for newbies like me to find good stuff to download without have to search everywhere.

The chinook is a US Army aircraft and not the USMC aircraft. The V-22 Osprey fills this role for the USMC. Since the USMC is the blufor for this Arma, they used that.

I would like the CH-53 Sea Stallion for the heavy lift role though.

The CH-46 Sea Knight looks similar to the CH-47 (in that they both have a double rotary system) But Im pretty sure the CH-47 (Ive been on one, as opposed to a CH-46) is bigger and actually faster, with a more powerful engine. The USMC plans on retiring the CH-46 once the V-22 is fielded in all units, and the navy already dropped CH-46s from its inventroy in favor of the '60 varient, KnightHawk (not sea hawk, which I believe is a little older varient)

BIS wont start making a helicopter just cause you ask for it since the game is done and out. Patches are for enhancing and fix the already released game. If your on the other hand suggesting it for a possible expansion pack to buy later on then specify that so one understand. If you want a community addon then ask in the Addon Request thread otherwise it just goes lost.

Not easy for people to understand when you only say things like "I want euro forces!". ;)

There will be a lot of vehicle addons coming but it will take time before all addon makers first learn all the new quirks of ARMA2 plus after that they have to start making it. Best thing is that there already excist helicopters for ArmA1 that needs to be ported and get some cosmetic, config and sound treatment. In this community we have christmas every other day since addons come in a steady flow, and many times even every day. That will start in a while im sure. Just like it did with OFP and ArmA.

Nah if it is from OFP he means the CH-47D, MH-47 has a different shaped honker.
