StefX 0 Posted July 7, 2009 (edited) I'm having the same issue. I have an NVidia GeForce 9800 GT and I had several instances of the machine shutting down. The GFX card is very hot so it's definitely an overheating issue and the motherboard just shuts down. I had for the 1st time the same issue. I have a new ATI 4890 card a new Intel Q9550 running at max 60° (38° idle) I have 5 fans in my case (P180). My Mother Board is an ASUS P5B Delux Only arma do this to my machine even OCC tool does not do this. ITs definetly an ARMA issue. ARMA 1 was also the only game that was overheating (artifacs)my old 8800GTX... This is quite an issue, if its a common problem and happens frequently it could actualy dammage your hardware. chlywly 10 Posted July 7, 2009 I am having this issue as well, I am using an ANTEC TruePower 850watt, so I thought it was a good quality one, I'm actually considering upgrading to a corsair 1000watt, heard good things about that power supply. My Arma2, seems to crash and cause a reboot every 5-15minutes. Vista64 8 Gigs DDR2 BFG Gtx295 Rampage Formula + Q9550 @ 3.4 ghz ~ I'm going to test my temps today, maybe even try with box open... Also maybe try playing stock CPU.
datter 0 Posted July 7, 2009 Just for the record, one thing I'm noticing is the factory overclock on my video cards (BFG 8800GT OC2) is a bit much, which causes the cards to shut down with an n4v_disp error. I usually don't see this of course, as most of the time the screen freezes and I'm forced to reset. Bringing the factory overclock back a bit has little if any impact on performance, and eliminates this problem.

Also maybe try playing stock CPU. its more about the AMP on the 12v rail than the amount of wattage of the PSU. You will want well over 90amps to run a pair big bad cards ...and then the wattage of the 12v rail should be more than you need. not some lame 17amp or 27amp 12v rail... I beleive in the one huge 12v rail, not a few 30amp rails...
