question on disabling post processing

Recommended Posts

So now we have the option to disable blur and bloom by setting postprocessing off.

nice enough to give people a choice.

but does this disable the mad blur when rolling as well as the effects when being suppressed or being wounded?

i hope not as that unbalances the MP playing field and removes features that add a shitload of immersion.

what about attacking from behind the sun if your human oppenents don't have bloom - do they get an unfair advantage.

i remember a game called joint ops from long ago - i discovered people lowered all the settings to get a mp game advantage even though it look like crap. that was bullshit as it effectively negated a lot of concealment and cover. It would be even worse here in aram2 as using the visual complexities of the scene should be part of the battlefield tactics.

you are 100% correct. sucky computers that played Joint Ops always had the advantage in it.

Yeah it is pretty annoying that you turn your settings down you get an advantage mainly with terrain i think it is, you turn it to very low it disables pretty much all grass.

So the guy with the ghillie can be seen with ease among a smooth landscape.

Though i'm pretty sure the view distance with grass just dissappears after about 20-30m, so yeah don't go hiding in the grass thinking your safe.
