they said in the article that C&C Generals is suppose to be the missing bridge that will link C&C Red Alert 1 and 2 as well Yuris' Revenge to C&C Tiberium Dawn to Tiberium Sun and FireStorm. but that sounds pretty tricky seeing as how the new title will have real or atleast possible weapons unlike the far fetched but none the less still cool stuff in the other titles

one new neat feature that i like is one of the new infintry tactics. in C&C RA 2 troops could be garisoned in civilian buildings, now westwood has taken these kinda tactics to a whole new level. example: a helicopter loaded with troops will land on top of a building and troops will exit the the chopper and than begin to REPELL off the sides the building like real military. i just hope that they give the infinitry some intelligance, like instead of getting shot at, they would oh i dont know RUN FOR COVER! or instead of goin on a suicide mission against a tank they would do something like dig a tank trap in its patrol rout or maybe jump on top and cap the unaware crew inside and hyjack the tank, or if all else fails run like hell

How can it do that? the first red alert's timeline was altered back before hitler came to power, so i dont see how a game in 2022 can link red alert and the cnc:td universe.

Also, those tactics would be cool. I hope when you build a g.i or whatever they call them, when you group them, they get set up in a squad like irl. Like, one of them will have a law weapon, one will have 203, and one will be a radio guy and stuff, that would be very cool, that way it be more realistic, and the g.i's and stuff wont be so useless against other units.

Another thing i hope they carry over from the tiberium sun engine is the unit promotions, giving the units more abilities the more they fought, so you kinda took care of your units more.

i just hope for once that they will finally go with units in their right scale, no more of troops big as houses crap or bigger than tanks. that and make weapons of mass destruction really weapons of mass destruction. in RA2, you would be lucky just to get one building to blow up once you nuked it! and whats up with that weather machine being more powerful than a nuke?

they will probably fix that, at least now that they will have dog fights

yup, but as i said a while ago, i just hope that they give a more realistic scale size to the units, i really hated it when troops where bigger than most vehicles and in some case than buildings

yea i know, and i already think that they will be out of scale, that thing that they are standing next too looks like a watch tower, and ofcourse with no surpprise, the troops are as big as the watch tower sad.gif

Well thy look alright i mean there a little bigger than usual but i think thats good as if they where really the same size then they would be so small they would get lost in the woods.

well the rest of the buildings and some of the vehicles are the right size, they just gota make the planes and some of the buildings like the watch tower bigger, i wasnt suggesting to make the troops smaller cuzz that would be a problem like you suggested, just make them a wee bit larger

i found on the westwood website, that they are planning 2 new C&C games after i guess generals, one will be C&C Tiberian Twilight and the other will be Red Alert 3. sounds good
