=DraGa= 10 Posted June 22, 2009 I ask, simply because the in-game "hidden" editor for Arma 2 doesn't want to read extracted PBO's I've obtained from other multiplayer maps I've collected over the past couple days. How exactly is everyone editing these maps, such as domination etc? Again, I ask since my clan wants to "customize" one of the domination maps that were recently released today for our server, and we can't seem to even open the bugger in the map editor (or get it to even recognize it's in the documents/arma2/missions folder ). Thanks in Advance :D!
Schilly 10 Posted June 22, 2009 The "hidden" editor you speak of, is this the 3D editor? If that's the case, thats the problem. The 3D editor is still in a primative state... Try using the built in Mission Editor (2D version), also, if you extracted the PBO, it has to be placed in your "My Documents/ArmA II/missions" folder for the editor(s) to see it. They put the 2d editor in a very odd to look for place :butbut:!
Schilly 10 Posted June 22, 2009 Hah... The 2D editor is in the same place as in ArmA I if I recall... But either way, it's easier to find than the hidden 3D editor lol
CarlGustaffa 4 Posted June 22, 2009 Domination is best modded with a good texteditor. Except for changing the units and vehicles, there is not much else you can do within the Arma2 editor. All those i_ scripts has many user values you might want to investigate in order to setup your own version of Domination. If you run a public server, make sure not to use any addons in order to attract people. Arma2 doesn't read the pbo files. You need to extract them (de-pbo) before they can be opened in the editor.
