Im only seeing the fps boost (up to a max of 80fps in SLI - over a max of 60fps in single GPU) when in the initial game menu.. load any other map/mission etc and the fps boost is gone and its back to single card performance (maybe even worse).

This was only though using the rename to crysis.exe technique.. and it wasnt stable at all.

I'm experiencing the same. Haven't encountered stability issues yet. But 60-80 fps on the menu screens and 19-35 in game (mostly closer to 19) is not fun.

186.19 GTX260 SLI

I used the EVGA SLI Enhancement and it has made quite a difference. My framerate essentially doubled in all scenarios, from the menu to the game play. I highly recommend it to anyone having issues with SLI:

Here are my specs:

Intel Core i7 920 (3.8 GHz)

6 GB OCZ Platinum DDR3 (1600 MHz)

2x GTX 285 - SLI

2x 1.5 TB HDD - RAID 0

Windows Vista x64

1920x1200

In-game settings:

Visibility: 3600

Quality preference: Very high

Interface resolution: 1920x1200x32

3D resolution: 1920x1200

Texture detail: Very high

Video memory: Very high

Anisotropic filtering: Very high

Antialiasing: Very high

Terrain detail: Very high

Objects detail: Very high

Shadow detail: Very high

Postprocess effects: Very high

Interface size: Very small

Aspect ratio: Very high

I now get 55-65 fps in game so far (note: I only have the demo right now).

Just upgraded GPU from a 980GTX+

Q6600 @ 3.3/3.4

gtx295

Rename Exe to Crysis64 and confirmed in game with overlay that SLi is operating.

1920x 1200 everything pretty much to max with 3d setting (old fillrate @ 125%) and low post effects. View distance around 4.5 (on laptop away from machine atm)

Few jerks during the inital load of a map etc.. but once the load is over its pretty much smooth for the rest of it.

I think there is still some more fps to be pushed out of the engine, but very happy with the performance so far.

Large increase over the 9800gtx, where I had to have options @ medium etc, I can now stick them to high / very high with 125% fillrate.
