I captured Lopotev on the island and brought him back, but when I get into the truck the Russians send it just sits there. I am supposed to trigger something?

I went into the truck wich stands near the landed chopper. He gets in too.

Then i drove with the soldiers in this truck and Lopotev to the meeting point. The rest of my squad was in an BMP and followed. As i reached the point near the bunker on the road ot came a cutscene and

In the cutscene there was an russian officer and talked to me. He took Lobotev and three Speznaz shot at the base, destroying a UAZ. The officer went away with Lobotev in a Truck. The speznaz were killed by the BMP-guys. One of them was a big blonde guy (remember bitter chill ;)). And he has an Vintorez if you like it.

There is no bridge, no boats or anything so you can get to the Skalisty island without swimming?

You can't swim there because if you do that you lose all your guns and everything, and therefore you get killed when you arrive to the island.

Only option left is chopper.. but jeez i don't want to spend like 5000 € for a chopper just to get to the island.. but ye well i guess i am forced to buy a chopper..

You are not forced to buy a chopper! There are two boats on the coastline near Elektrozavotzk. They are not that fast but u get 4 men to the island with them.

I drove to the island from the beach around north-east corner of the island with a BMP-2, there is a route there where the water is not very deep. Made dealing with the terrorists very easy!
