How to use transport helicopter?

Hey,

I have just gotten past all the tutorial missions (first 3 missions of the game that outlay your story) and have access to the helicopter for transport.

It is telling me to go meet some commander for more intel on where the insurgent leaders may be hiding out, so I order myself and my crew into the helicopter and he starts up his blades but stays on the ground.

How do I tell him where to take us too?

to call the chopper:

0 "Reply" --> 8 "communicate" --> 1 "support" --> "transport"

then click on the map where you want to be picked up from

to get it to take you somewhere

0 "reply" --> 8 "communicate" --> 1 "support" --> "transport (active)"

and click on the map where you want to be dropped off.
