High ( ish ) Spec rig ok (ish ) performance

Recommended Posts

Hi I have the following spec

windows 7 ( 64bit )

6gb ddr 3 Corsair ( 1600)

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem)

XFX Radeon HD 4870X2 2GB GDDR5

running 1680 x 1050

So I have everything set to v high apart from shadows ( set to high )

Also I see some odd shit now an again , like textures not appearing on faces sometimes, or the textures not being drawn on certain buildings etc

latest ATI drivers

Clean install of windows 7

Whilst the game looks great it stutters terribly , I am sure the game is not utilising the hardware I have , any tips ?

Game cfg

I have a lot of similar textures issues with a Radeon 4890 and last Catalyst driver. If I substitute my 4890 by a GeForce 8800GTX and last ForceWare driver, textures load fastest.

Maybe next ATI drivers or next patchs will solve this ( I hope...)

set ingame vid memory to very high. shadows on high or very high.

There are tons of threads here with changes to try and lots of shortcut flag ones like -winxp -maxmem etc.. bit tired to post now ive had hard day playing arma2 :D what a joy its been.

Im sure all issues for those having them will get sorted with the next 2 patches or so.
