marcomio 0 Posted June 14, 2009 Is there anybody, who already done this or is willing to do? Some high res buildings and the architecture itself would be nice to see on some OFP Islands. I have seen some stuff on a ofp island project (the pavements), which is a great addition to the towns atmosphere. Im not experienced in this, maybe someone is able to convert them for OFP use. Hope to get some info. So long
stgn 39 Posted June 14, 2009 I don't think its legal to do that take somthing from ARMA and put it in OFP. STGN
.kju 3245 Posted June 14, 2009 It is. Just read the license of the sample models.
marcomio 0 Posted June 14, 2009 Hi! Okay, everybody has to accept this. Thank you both for advice. Hope I get familiar with some tools to increase the low res bitmaps of OFP buildings by myself. Is the new p3dunwrap tool the key for these purpose (e. g. giving a old OFP house with 128x128 textures some in 512 or 1024 upwards?). Sorry, but concerning p3d stuff Im an absolutely newbee. Any info appreciated. Rgds marcomio
stgn 39 Posted June 14, 2009 Well you don't need P3dunwrap to do that get PaN tool and a photo editing program and make higher res textures. STGN
marcomio 0 Posted June 15, 2009 Thanks for info, STGN! I will give it a try, after done some work with my groundtextures. Maybe a very dumb question, but I have already decompressed some buildingtextures and changed colour etc., that works, I know. Would it be as easy to to resize a (e. g.) 256x256 texture to 1024x1024 and this texture get correctly wrapped around the object? Dont mind, but you are a specialist doing those things as to see at your very nice SOPMOD M4A1's and Im running partly out of time reasond on my familiy belongings. Tks again, marcomio
stgn 39 Posted June 15, 2009 The mapping of the model dosen't change because you use a larger texture its gonna stay the same and use the same part of a texture as before. STGN
-martin- 10 Posted June 16, 2009 What is the point to port everything from ArmA to OFP is you can just play ArmA? :D
stgn 39 Posted June 16, 2009 But then again OFP is the better game of the 2. ;D STGN
-martin- 10 Posted June 17, 2009 BIS should learn from this, while they are trying to get the most fancy graphics in to their games that overheat your computer chips people just want good playability. But still I find OFP has the best graphics becaouse all the over done postprocessing especially in ArmA2 just makes the game look like a game while OFP looks more like you see the real world :) It is. Just read the license of the sample models. Is it legal or not?
