maddogx 13 Posted June 10, 2009 You have no sound whatsoever in Win7, or just with Arma2 in Win7? Are you sure you've installed a Windows 7 compatible sound driver?
castor1969 10 Posted June 10, 2009 Just in Arma2, i have Combat Arms, Cod 4/5, AMericas Army and all play very well, better than Windows Vista. But Arma dont make any sound at all... And if you see the Sound have the last drivres to RealTek, R226
maddogx 13 Posted June 10, 2009 That makes things more difficult. If you had general sound problems I would suggest trying to find a more appropriate driver, but if the sound problem is specific to Arma2 I'm not sure how to help you. The sound options in Arma2 are limited to setting the volume. You could try having a look in your ArmA2Profile for the audio settings. Take a look in your My Documents folder. There should be an ArmA 2 folder in there, possibly also an ArmA 2 Other Profiles folder. Try to find the *your name*.ArmA2Profile file, where the *your name* part would be the profile name you use in-game. You can open that file with notepad. Inside there will be a long list of settings, among which there should be soundEnableEAX and soundEnableHW, probably fairly high at the top. Each of them should be set to either 0 or 1. Try changing the values of these settings and see what happens (just remember, the value must be either 0 or 1). I'm not sure if they actually do anything, but it might help. Other than that, I'm not quite sure how else to help. You could also try running Arma2 in Vista or XP compatibility mode. :)

maddogx 13 Posted June 10, 2009 Can you please post the contents of the file you edited with the soundEnableEAX/HW values? Also, are you running Arma2 version 1.01?
