easty 0 Posted May 29, 2009 Just as a note. I tried to download twice on windows 7 RC 64 and had CRC errors on the large files. I finally tried on my Vista 32 laptop and it worked without a problem. May save you some time, specially if you have a slow connections. Luckily I was getting 950KB/s :D Let's play the 3rd incarnation of this truly epic game

easty 0 Posted May 29, 2009 Make sure the partition is NTFS and not the old FAT32. Yes mate.. I've Used NTFS since err win NT4. maybe I have defunct mem module or something if it's downloading ok for everyone else. I check with memcheck..
sidhellfire 0 Posted May 29, 2009 check memory, and try using different download manager. GetRight had flaws in past, with merging parts incorrectly. Try wget, or a newer download manager, like Flashget.
easty 0 Posted June 2, 2009 Just to report back on this.. even though I had ARMA 2 downloaded in vista 32 and then installed ok in WIN 64bit I found out my 4th memory stick was faulty. I did trial and error with NVboot memory check on slow(the standard memory check didn't find anything) and the 4chip failed the slow check. I place this a standalone chip in my PC and tried downloading things and almost any download over30mb failed.. Happy to isolate the problem, even if I'm only running 3GB now. :)

easty 0 Posted June 2, 2009 Thats why I used a Mac to D/L it Not got a clue how that relates? So if I installed OSX on my PC with the bad memory it would have worked ok?
