Grodin 0 Posted May 7, 2009 Ok,found them. How in the hell did you get rid of that f***ing strobe effect? ...Seems ArmA2 provides best results now that i tried it, on 4870x2 - flashing on start is gone... Renaming it to arma2.exe
Rebel@heart 10 Posted May 7, 2009 Woah, how much did you pay for the card?
hamis 0 Posted May 7, 2009 Renaming it to arma2.exe Of course i tried that and created profile but for nothing.:banghead:
kklownboy 43 Posted May 7, 2009 (edited) Of course i tried that and created profile but for nothing.:banghead: make sure you have Vsync enabled. CF will strobe hard (sli too) with out it. Edited May 7, 2009 by kklownboy

hamis 0 Posted May 8, 2009 make sure you have Vsync enabled. CF will strobe hard (sli too) with out it. Well, after more testing it appears that i have terrible white strobing WITH v-sync!And it doesn't stop until i activate GDTmodHdr.
Grodin 0 Posted May 8, 2009 Well, after more testing it appears that i have terrible white strobing WITH v-sync!And it doesn't stop until i activate GDTmodHdr. Forcing it off fixed it for me ;)
hamis 0 Posted May 8, 2009 Forcing it off fixed it for me Yep,but then i can't use both gpu's due to light "strobing" effect that doesn't go away.
kklownboy 43 Posted May 8, 2009 Yep,but then i can't use both gpu's due to light "strobing" effect that doesn't go away. Set your HDR to 8 or 16. My Strobe is all gone... with 1.16b, arma2exe, Vista64. Even when i had strobeing, it would settle down fast, or i would have to reset the renderer by changing a ingame setting like AA. Also it can strobe at certain times of day (morning, sunset) with certain shadows (north island treeleaves ) It is a HDR issue, and a Vsync issue. My friends with 295's and SLI have the same issue, and Vsync, V64 is the fix.
hamis 0 Posted May 10, 2009 Well, this time i'm talking about lighting pumping up and down.Hard to explain, fraps doesn't capture it.It's not as bad as strobing(white flashing) but annoying anyway, hdrprecision doesn't help.
kklownboy 43 Posted May 10, 2009 try different named .exe's

funkee 0 Posted August 28, 2009 worst GPU for ArmA2. 285 would be much better solution.
