SLI bug fixed

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

the latest beta drivers from nvidia (182.05) are solving the SLI bug introduced in the 18x series.

Are you talking about the HDR bug?

With 182.06 I still got it with my 8800GTX, but maybe it's fixed for you.

NoBrainer, no, not the HDR bug. The 18x series drivers introduced a severe flickering bug in SLI-enabled systems. I can confirm 1212PDMCDMPPM's observation the the bug has been fixed not only in the 182.05 beta drivers, but in the 182.06 WHQL drivers. There's still some rapid-fire flickering as a mission loads ("receiving"), but it stops when the mission begins. Using nHancer to associate arma.exe with the crysis sli as profile suggested in another thread sort of worked with pre-182.05 drivers, but, at least on my system (2 8800GTXs), introduced other problems with overly bright, "brittle" colors. Go with the 182.06 drivers instead.

ah... thanks.

Yeah I got that too before and can confirm that "the flicker" is gone when gaming.

Well, then it's just the HDR bug left then...Maybe fixed in ArmA2?

I've just found time to do some updating to my pc.

I just went from 181** (had flickering), now using 182.08whql and Vista SP 2 RC. I have no more flickering with SLI enabled.

My FPS still holds a solid 40+ in the northern woods/mountains of the Island.

I'm hoping to have time to run ArmA for a long run this eve, and see if I get any new  "Display driver stopped responding" errors.
