Editing stringtable.csv

Recommended Posts

Please, check my BIKI page on the subject.

I have used Openoffice.org, mainly because has the option to save as .csv letting you to choose the character set, like the "Unicode (UTF-8)" you need for ArmA.

There is also a little tutorial using Google Docs, which I'm now trying to do for the @ACE stringtables.

Forget OO or Excel and use a regular Texteditor where you can change the Code like Notepad++ (Free Software)

I do my edits with Vim, the stringtable.csv too, but found the spreadsheet view better while translating.

You can also try PSPad.

I am using it for editing SQF/SQS scripts and FSM (you can define your own syntax hilighting for particular type of file).
