wazoo 0 Posted December 18, 2008 Hello, I'm running Arma on Vista 32 with the latest Nvidia drivers (180.48 I believe). Anyway, when I try to run the game, the screen flashes white making the game unplayable. It is like a very annoying strobing effect. I've seen lots of mention of this problem on the Internet, but no offered solutions. Anyone see this before?
eble 3 Posted December 18, 2008 Yes, I had the same thing with vista 64 same drivers and XP same drivers I had to roll back to my previous drivers to get it to work. It's a shame becuase I was hitting 80 fps! Â SouthyBeta driver issues BI forums
wazoo 0 Posted December 18, 2008 Thanks for the heads up. That thread showed me it is SLI that is causing the problem with the new drivers. I filed a bug report with Nvidia and will hope for the best.
pchaxor 0 Posted December 19, 2008 Yup got same here. SLI. Flicker Flashes of White. I played with the 3D settings and tried turning vsych off and tried all the optional render settings. They all ended up with the the Nvidia dll file displaying a blue screen of hell yeah, followed by a reboot.
pchaxor 0 Posted December 19, 2008 http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1671 I stopped the flickering by using these settings and the 181 Beta drivers. (Uninstalled 180 drivers, rebooted and ran driver sweeper first.) - Nvidia Control Panel Set [sLI Performance] to Force split-frame rendering Set [Vertical Synch] to Force off PhysX and SLI both Enabled PhysX version is 8.10.
whopper_with_cheese 0 Posted December 21, 2008 i had this problem today with 180.48, i.e. white flickering i tried changing the settings: - Nvidia Control Panel Set [sLI Performance] to Force split-frame rendering Set [Vertical Synch] to Force off then ran the game... windows told me it had stopped working. I then went back into nvidia control panel, changed those 2 settings to original/defaults...ran ARMA, and its worked perfectly since. no driver change bizarre
