Help with Connecting

Recommended Posts

Ok, I use to play a lot when this game first came out.

Well I just did a clean install, then Queens Gambit and now the new 1.14 patch and go to play online.

After waiting for 15 minutes the Receiving Mission File does not move at all, I am not sure if it is hanging up or what?

I am confident this is not a firewall issue, or router as I currently have my gaming PC DMZ'd and I am not having trouble with other games. So I am hoping for a bit of help.

Am I just not waiting long enough? Are there things I need to Dl?

1) Normally if you'd need any addons to play on the server, that are required for the mission, you'd be autokicked instantly so i don't think that's the problem.

2) Are you using some kind of software firewall/antivirus with built in firewall? Maybe that won't allow to download the mission file? Even if you're in a "hardware" DMZ, you could still have software problems.

3) Have you tried connecting to a non-evolution map? (Evolution is indeed notorious for very long wait times before you can actually play)

4) Are you trying to connect to a certain server or does the same thing happen for all servers you try to connect to?

5) Maybe you have some corrupt file in MPMissionsCache

-Shut down arma and go to start, run

-type %userprofile%\Application Data\Arma\MPMissionsCache

-remove all files from this folder (but leave the folder itself)
