Spitfire 0 Posted December 6, 2001 Hindhunter, I think the problem occurs only if your hard drive is DMA33, DMA66, UltraDMA... You probably bought an ATA100 hard drive and that's why the bug doesn't occur. ####, I'm just guessing here... It could be either that or it could be that when you installed the HD you put it in the same ribbon cable as your CD. It's a proven fact that the bug causes problems only if the two mediums are on different ribbon cables.
