Marshall300 0 Posted September 6, 2008 Hi! I tried searching this but couldn't find anything related, so I had a lot of joysticks and all of them were fine with ArmA, but now I got this new one and Arma just doesn't see it, neither axis nor buttons... I believe its installed correctly with all the latest drivers and it works in other games, so do you guys have any ideas? Thanks in advance!
jasono 0 Posted September 6, 2008 Have you rebooted your PC since installing the drivers? Also, did you use the drivers on the disc, or from their website? I had a Saitek Cyborg Evo Force before my current X52 and it worked fine. Ensure ArmA is closed when the joystick is plugged in, otherwise it won't work. Also check the joystick is enabled in game. Well, I bought it about 2 weeks ago, and as it came with no CD or anything I downloaded all the stuff from the website including something called Saitek Magic Bus... As for ArmA the box says joystick enabled and I still got the mapping from the old one, which actually does work if I plug it now... I just have no single clue what might be causing it... fitzee 7 Posted September 6, 2008 Hi. Which o.s. are you using? I have the same stick, and it worked fine with ArmA on my old system with windowsXP. I havent installed/tried the stick on my new system with vista64 yet.
echo1 0 Posted September 7, 2008 I have a Saitek ST30. There were no discs or manual in the box. I plugged it in and ArmA detected it automatically. Unless the model youre using actually requires special drivers, I'd try unistalling all the software and drivers you installed for it and see if it does anything. kklownboy 43 Posted September 7, 2008 Is the new Stick in your Device Manager?
Marshall300 0 Posted September 8, 2008 Thanks for the replies guys, Fitzee, I'm running XP, but I guess that's not the case, as you said it worked fine and I got a friend whos either running XP with this stick and he has no problems with ArmA... kklownboy Nope, I guess this type of sticks isn't being added to Device Manager... or is it?? ch_123, done as you suggested, uninstalled all the software from the control panel and removed all the drivers from Windows folder and regedit, after which it wasn't detected at all... so I installed the drivers again, and the problem still remains
SpaceReverend 0 Posted September 9, 2008 I have problem with my joystick too..I have Logitech Attack 3 and it recently started to act strangely. I play simulators a lot, especially IL-2 Sturmovik and in that game i have no problem with joystick at all. The problem in arma is that whatever i do, recalibrate, unplug and plug the joystick, it keeps leaning to right. It is impossible to fly any aircraft cause i have to stick left all the time to keep it steady. So, is this software related problem or hardware? My friend suggested that the problem is in my motherboard...? Thanks for help already
