S1AY3R 0 Posted August 30, 2008 Hi there guys Is it possible to make a warfare mission that only has about 4-5 towns close together? I can only play singleplayer and would realy like to engage my AI opponent early in the game cuz i cant save? Please can somebody tell me how to do this? Would be very much appreciated Thanks
Migel 0 Posted August 30, 2008 Had good games in the more fast paced combat in cti central maps from flashpoint so combat on smaller scale shouldnt be 2 bad. However with the current respawn system in towns I am pretty sure that you are better off playing berzerk or something similar.
S1AY3R 0 Posted August 30, 2008 Nah, that doesnt do it for me... Would realy like to make a maximum of 5 towns to capture Please any advice where to start ?
ck-claw 1 Posted August 30, 2008 Do you have any experience with the ingame editor? If so just un-pbo the warfare addon. Then move either the 16 or 32 player version to- 'my documents/other profiles/missions folder. Open the mission up in editor,then- eg:- say the depot and camps of the town 'Arcadia' move them to a position you want. Same for the other depot's / camps Thats the basics of it really
S1AY3R 0 Posted August 30, 2008 Thanks for getting me started. Do i have to move them or delete them? I deleted most of the objects in most towns just have 5 left now i spawn without a base? I left 2 spawn flags? Any help plz?
ck-claw 1 Posted August 30, 2008 Personally i would've just moved them. You would probably need more than 2 repsawn makers? You could just place most of the markers near where u want the possibillity of spawning? One other thing-make sure in editor that you click on the 'Markers' tab. To show the corisponding markers that go with each town so to move them aswell!
S1AY3R 0 Posted August 30, 2008 Is there anyway you can do it? I only want the 5 towns at the bottom of this warfare version of Sara lite? And to let both spawn opposite side off the towns? When i start moving stuff and try to play it or save and play it nothing happens. no vote screen no building no nothing? Any suggestions sorry for being a noob but your help is very appreciated. Thanks alot
ck-claw 1 Posted August 30, 2008 There shouldnt be a prob with deleting camps/depots afaik? But to be on safe side-start again! Just remove one towns camps/depot and markers and see what happens? Keep all the spawn makers(blue flags). But place half of them at one place and other have at another place? But bare in mind there has to be a set/enough distance between the opfor and bluefor bases so to spawn, that could be where your problem lies?
S1AY3R 0 Posted August 30, 2008 lol i think thats my problem, cuz im testing them a few hundred meter away from each other
ck-claw 1 Posted August 30, 2008 Just well could be that! Would having the base spawns alot further apart be that much of a problem? Once both bases have spawned it wouldnt take to long before your all heading towards them 5 towns for a battle

tedbell 0 Posted September 1, 2008 The ICED version of Warfare would be a great place to start! The action begins right away, with the AI at the next town which start to invade your base. There are a lot more armored vehicles and the AI is a bit tougher.
S1AY3R 0 Posted September 2, 2008 Hi Tedbell Wouldnt that mean that the ai only attacks your base? Would that mean you dont capture towns and no urban warfare? Im just asking? Please enlighten me.
ShrubMiK 0 Posted September 2, 2008 Playing the Schmalfelden version of Warfare might suit you...it's a few more towns than you are suggesting, something like 9 or 10 towns. But it's a much smaller map and the towns are all quite close together, so you do encounter the OPFOR quite quickly.
tedbell 0 Posted September 2, 2008 The AI attacks your base, because there is a firefight for the first town, and they convene at your location. If you ignored them at the closest town, they would take a bit more time to attack your base. But for singleplayer, the action is close and quick and more challenging.
