Optics not following the gun in turret view

Recommended Posts

Okay, I'm trying to configure my Ka-52 by myself so I studied the Ka-50 config and Ah1-z config and I managed to have the helo flying with a working turret.

But I have two big problems at the moment :

- when in "optic view", the camera doesn't follow the gun... making the crosshair rapidly disappearing off the screen...

- the mouse movements are inversed (you need to aim right to shoot left... quite disturbing...)

What am I missing ? I can't seem to find what makes it different in the AH1Z config...

Please.

Thanks a lot.

reverse the axis of gun movement or reverse angels in model.cfg

- Ok, thanks, that part is solved... I can now move left/right, up/down correctly.

However, the optics (in "ironsiight mode", like when you press your right mouse button) still don't follow the gun. That eludes me.

The aimpoint moves around, but the camera stays fixed.

Could it be because I'm inheriting some weird stuff from the KA50 which doesn't have moving optics ?

Most likely the muzzle or optics memory points for your turret are not properly set, for the weapon you are trying to fire.

Check the following values in your turret's config, and make sure they are properly set up in your model too:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">

memoryPointGunnerOptics

memoryPointGunnerOutOptics

gunBeg

gunEnd

memoryPointGun

missileBeg

missileEnd

Ok, I fixed it for now. The gunnerview wasn't binded to the turret.

Thanks all for your help.
