sputnik monroe 102 Posted July 21, 2008 Actually my father took them. I couldn't make it to the air show because I had to work. My father took lots of pictures and I got to check them out later. I wish I could of seen the mock Japanese attack with pyrotechnics.  I haven't been to an airshow in probably eight or nine years now. I've yet to actually see a F22 with my own eyes
{USI}_Zombie 0 Posted July 21, 2008 I wish I could of seen the mock Japanese attack with pyrotechnics. I've yet to actually see a F22 with my own eyes  I saw both when they did an airshow here at NAS Oceana a couple years ago.  That Pearl Harbor tribute is very moving, they have air raid sirens playing over the speakers and music as well
chops 111 Posted July 22, 2008 Never been to an airshow myself, though I lived in Japan for a few years and went on holiday to Okinawa, where there's both a USAF and USMC airbase. Got the fright of my life when I was relaxing on the beach, nearly asleep, when an AV-8B came tearing across the sky at low-level. I'd try to sign up to the Marines if I could be guaranteed a posting to Okinawa  From the main street in one of the towns, you can see F-15s coming in to land, which was great for me, but I imagine you might get tired of the racket if you lived there.
