ArmA 2 input

Recommended Posts

There's currently a horrifying mouse lag in ArmA, unless you have fps near to 100 or so. Even with V-sync disabled. It completely destroys the gameplay - will it be included in ArmA 2 too, or is this planned to be fixed?

It's not a bug but a feature to make you feel the weight of gun, it's called floating zone.

And you can set it to 0 in controls option.

Negative, I am not talking about the floating zone. I'm talking about the mouse lag, and that is not a feature. It's dependable on your fps, but in northern sahrani its impossible to reach those high fps's and it feels you have no control over the mouse at all. I can only properly aim in southern sahrani deserts, where the fps is really high.

You tried the 'render frames ahead'/'flip queue size' fix? After lowering it that lag was for 90% gone in my case.

(Also, BI seems to have fixed it in one of the last patches, but i cant be bothered to read all the changelogs now)

Flip queue tweak also lowers fps and the effect is very slight. It shouldn't occur at all, in other games even if you have like 25fps you can still control the mouse.

And no they haven't fixed it, it is still present in the newest build.
